ABOUT ME

I'm Steve Cordon.

I build synergies between the church, business and culture. I help pastors, business leaders and creators grow their leadership and their impact. I lead and create faith-driven projects and content to transform generations.

I'm from Guatemala and live in Dallas with my wife Yudy and our daughters, Sofy and Lucy. I've spent more than 20 years working across the church, business and media.

MY STORY

I've changed stages many times. Never altars.

GUATEMALA

The beginning

I was leading worship at my church while I was still very young. At the same time I fell in love with communication: I studied Advertising and understood that a message, however good, has to know how to reach people.

Without knowing it, there were the two things God would later bring together: the altar and the message.

The expansion

Those were years of worship, recordings and platforms. I was ordained as a minister and studied Marketing, Leadership and Ministry.

In 2008 I founded Vertical Link with Yudy and discovered that business and communications are also ground for honoring God. In 2012 we held our first Summit in Miami and 247 Ministries was born. I also co-founded ComunicadoresUSA, a network that connected thousands of Hispanic Christian communicators and keeps growing today through 247 Ministries.

ALONG THE WAY

What my mistakes have taught me

Throughout my career I've made mistakes many times and in many ways. Some projects didn't turn out as I hoped, and some decisions I would make differently today. Each one taught me humility and dependence on God, and He has been patient with me and more than enough in all my weaknesses.

The one thing I've tried to do well is obey Him and honor Him. Everything else has been His grace. That road gave me the lessons I teach today:

  • Feeling stuck isn't the end: it's the signal to move forward again. The way out starts with a small decision, not a big miracle.
  • Success isn't getting there first; it's getting on the right bus. I said yes to projects that weren't meant for me. Today I measure success by faithfulness, not speed.
  • Heart first, then strategy. I had strategy, tools and a team, and something was still missing.

I'm still learning. And He is still faithful.

THE CALLING

Synergy

God spoke to me about leading worship in other spheres. I saw the church with vision but no resources, business leaders with resources but no direction, and creatives with talent but no room. Each one held a piece of the puzzle.

Since then my work has been to bring them to the same table and give them tools. Iglesia Disruptiva was born for pastors; Emprendedores Extraordinarios, for business leaders. With 247 Ministries we created gatherings like the Global Leadership Summit and Iglesia y Liderazgo Relevante, we lead the Latino Media Summit with NRB, we talk with leaders on my leadership podcast and, in February 2027, we will gather at the Grow Global Forum.

Today

In 2022 we moved to Dallas. Since 2025 I've served as COO of Voz Media. I still lead our group of companies, serve on the board of Encouragement Media Group, and keep creating music, programs and devotionals.

Many titles, one purpose: that God's vision moves forward.

WHAT I BELIEVE

Convictions I don't negotiate. Even when they're uncomfortable.

These are the ideas I repeat on every stage, in every boardroom and in every conversation with a leader. If one makes you uncomfortable, it's probably the one you need most.

01 The church can't be a victim of change. It has to lead it. If we wait for the culture to change before we react, we're already late.
02 Sacred cows aren't born sacred: we make them. The message is untouchable. The methods aren't. Confusing the two has emptied many churches.
03 Your business isn't plan B for your calling. God doesn't only move on Sunday. Business is one of the ways His Kingdom advances.
04 Creatives don't decorate the message: they read the times. A church that doesn't listen to its communicators ends up speaking to a generation that has already left.
05 Mediocrity doesn't honor God. He gave us His best. Excellence is a form of worship too.
06 If there's no change to lead, you don't need a leader. You need a manager. And God is looking for leaders.
07 Synergy costs humility. Your solution and mine can produce a better third one, but only if we're both willing to give.
08 The church doesn't exist to entertain. It exists to make disciples and transform its city. Everything else is a means.

I don't live it perfectly; I'm still growing, like anyone. But every day I choose to keep my heart in the right place, and God does what is impossible for me.

FAMILY

I don't do any of this alone.

Yudy is my wife and my partner in life and mission. Together we founded Vertical Link and lead 247 Ministries. The best things I've built, I've built with her. Our daughters, Sofy and Lucy, also serve God in the areas where He is leading them.
